Six wounded in two separate Brooklyn shootings hours apart
Six people were injured – one critically – in two separate Brooklyn shootings just hours apart on Monday night, police said.
Three men were struck in the first shooting at about 6:50 p.m. at a cookout outside NYCHA’s Pink Houses on Hemlock Street and Stanley Avenue in East New York, cops said.
A 42-year-old victim shot in the neck and head was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Another man, 34, was shot in the arm while sitting in a car near the scene, cops said. He drove off before being pulled over a few blocks away near Linden Boulevard and Eldert Lane.
He was taken in stable condition to Brookdale Hospital — where a third victim, 46, walked in with a gunshot wound to his torso, according to police.

A handgun was recovered near the scene, police sources said.
Three other people were shot just before 9 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Playground in Bedford-Stuyvesant, cops said.
One of the victims was shot in the arm and walked a block away to Interfaith Medical Center.
Police didn’t immediately have any additional information on the second shooting.
