How Christie Brinkley’s son fell for model Nina Agdal

Jack Brinkley Cook might be more chiseled than 99 percent of the guys in New York City— but his model girlfriend, Nina Agdal, has him beat in the fitness department.

“She really could be a personal trainer,” said Jack, 23. “She works out at least six days a week. It’s one of her favorite things. She definitely more active than I am.”

Luckily, Jack is used to having strong women in his life. His mother is Christie Brinkley and he has two sisters: model Sailor Cook and singer Alexa Ray Joel, whose father is Christie’s ex-husband Billy Joel.

(“We refer to him as Uncle Billy,” said Jack, who attends the Piano Man’s monthly concerts at Madison Square Garden with Alexa.)

“I’m always asking them for outfit advice or style advice,” he said of his femme squad. “They are very supportive.”

Most summer weekends, Jack and 26-year-old Nina head out to Christie’s Bridgehampton “compound.”

“It’s always the center point of social activity among my social group and sisters,” he said.

He keeps life out in the Hamptons simple, spending his free time spearfishing (“100 percent of the fish we catch, we eat,” he said) and pursuing his new cycling hobby — Spandex outfits and all.

“If I’m going to do it, I’m definitely getting the gear,” he said with a laugh.

“I’ve been in the Hamptons my whole life,” said Jack, who grew up out East with his mother and Sailor.

His father is real estate developer, Richard Taubman, who was married for one year to Christie. She then wed architect Peter Cook, adopted Jack when he was a young child. (Christie and Peter split in 2008 when he was caught cheating with his 18-year-old assistant. Christie got sole custody of Jack and Sailor in the divorce).

Jack actually met Nina out in Montauk in July 2017 through a mutual friend at the Montauk hot-spot Surf Lodge, just two months after the Victoria’s Secret model’s split from Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I thought she was very beautiful and then when I got to know her, she is as incredibly nice and cool, as well,” said Jack, who added that his mother knew Nina before he did thanks to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, for which they had both modeled.

“They get along great,” he said, adding that despite the professional beauties in his life, he has no interest in a modeling career of his own.

“It’s just not something that I’ve been interested in,” said Jack, who graduated from Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York in 2016.

For now he’s putting his acting ambitions on hold to focus on his new start-up Rove — a luxe alternative to the Jitney, with millennials and Gen-Z in mind.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans shuttle passengers between lower Manhattan or Brooklyn and the Hamptons for between $60 and $75 per person. Riders receive specially designed Cynthia Rowley totes full of swag, including CBD gummies and Jaden Smith’s JUSTwater.

“For the past five years, I’ve been doing the commute from downtown Manhattan,” said Jack, who lives in his own in TriBeCa. “I just felt there was a need to create something that was enjoyable and in-line with exactly what the Hamptons is — a retreat.”
